Oh so proud!

Okay, if you hate people who gush about their kids, you may want to stop reading. I had a moment yesterday. (I'm vaklempt, talk amongst yourselves!) The girls had an awards banquet for their swim team. Kimrie got the outstanding "coach" award. She was so excited, it was really cute. She got the award for being so teachable, doing what she's supposed to do, and working hard! She was really happy and she already has the plaque hanging on her wall. They were standing up on a stage and Kimrie's suprised face was so great when they called her name! Mallory on the other hand, is on the pre swim team and the coach said she is one of the best "splish"group kids he's ever had. He said he is really excited for her to move up and start racing, but she's not old enough yet. He also said she can do any stroke drill you ask her and that is very unusual for her age. So needless to say, we were so proud of them, and hope they keep working hard!
Yes, my child has her award upside down, I'm not sure where she gets her spacy moments from. Couldn't possibly be me!

Not much going on here.

We have a new nephew! Andy and Marylyn just had a baby boy! Gavin Paul Bjorn. He is super cute, and I can't wait to see him!
We got to spend a fun weekend in Colorado Springs with our family there. We had such fun playing with our nephews there. It's always nice to have a little vacation there. I really miss the Springs, and I can't wait to go back.
On another subject, I have hurt my knee running. I've never had knee pain before, usually just little stuff here and there. Anyway, does anyone have suggestions for knees?

oh yah, the blog

This could be mildly embarrassing, but I don't care that much. Anyway the blog is www.humblepienoshame.blogspot.com
Believe it or not, all the other embarrassing words were taken.

new blog

So last night, Jim and I were awake till 11 for no apparent reason. While we were up I started thinking about the many embarrassing moments in my life and others, and of coarse I started laughing. So I thought it would be fun to share those moments, not just to keep me laughing, but to make others feel better if they've humiliated themselves. So I'm inviting all to share, leave comments, and I'll publish them, I can also add authors too. If you have a library of humiliating moments in your life, please share! I will be posting myself, I really pray I won't have to post too much, I would like to keep some dignity in life.

party pictures

Here are the party pictures, we had it at a cheer gym that my friend owns. It was such fun, she played cheer games with them and taught them a few things. The best part is that I didn't have to come up with anything fun, I just played and took pictures. I just thought it was somewhat unique, and I would definately recommend a cheerleader party for all girls who like cheerleading, or if they are obsessed with being a teenager.(Abbey). She made a sign at school that said "When I grow up I want to be a teenager!" Horrors! Many of you know that I despise teenagers, which is truly ironic since you couldn't have found a more obnoxious teenager than myself. But anyway, I figure that when my kids are that regrettable age, I'll start liking them. I always used to hate elementary school kids too, I thought they were so dirty, and had horrible teeth that were half baby teeth, and half jaggedy permanent teeth. But now that I have a child with those teeth, I feel it's pretty endearing. So see, people can change! Don't give up hope for me!

Happy Birthday Miss Abbers!

Today is our Abigail Mae's 5th birthday! I can't believe our baby is 5! She has had a great day so far, we had her cheerleader party which was a big success, (more pictures to come).
I was rather impressed with myself over the handouts we gave out. You'll see they are little cheerleader skirt candy bags. That was a fun project with the girls. Abbey's job was to put the candy in.
In honor of her birthday I thought I'd share a little about her. We liked 2 names for Abbey. Lauren or Abigail. We polled friends and family, and most liked Abbey. Then when I was 7 or 8 months pregnant, we went out to eat at Bennigans. As we were reading the stories on the menu, the word "Abbey" was used, obviously in reference to a place where nun's live. I just loved the "e" in there. Plus, the Beatle's Abbey Road. Anyhoo, I thought it would be funny to give her a totally Catholic name. So my vote was Abbey Grace. But, Jim really liked the name "Mae" and even came up with the spelling. I thought it was great and super cute. I was even more happy that Jim picked a name that wasn't totally disgusting that we could actually use. So therefore Abigail Mae Binns it was. Labor with her is a testament that Castor oil truly works! It was fast and furious, and left me with no desire to ever do that again!! Both of my last two kids were accidental Natural births! Not because I wanted them that way, although having had one natural birth already, I figured why not? maybe it will go by faster. Sometimes faster is truly not better. But nevertheless, we made it through, and we have our beautiful little Abbey!
How time flies though, she will be starting kindergarten this fall... That is truly unbelievable!
