What I've been up to....

With Jim gone, I've done nothing but get weirder. I know that isn't shocking to any of you, but with my mind a little more free to wander, and not having to worry about Jim's ridicule, (it's okay, he gets just as much ridicule from me) this is what I've been into lately.

I've read this amazing book, and I believe every word of it.

I read this book twice, and I'll probably read it a zillion more times, I already love running and this makes me love it more. It's amazing.

I am reading this book because I've tried to run a marathon 3 times and never made it past 10 miles without shredding my knees.

I've been eating these, because I am a freak and they are a super food, they give me tons of energy, and are an appetite suppressant. (Not that you can tell by my weight)

I've been doing alot of this

Sometimes wearing these

Oh how fun it is!! Arn and dad made me buy those shoes, and I said "I will never wear those shoes, Satan must have designed those himself!" Less than 24 hours later, I had a pair.

So these have been my distractions and obsessions the last 3 months. After years of ridiculing my mom for her hippie ways, I believe I have surpassed her in weirdness. I am turning into a mountain mama hippie. But I've decided that at a certain point in your life, you just let your freak flag fly and you don't care. I'm happy that at 34, I'm starting to do that. Or I could have been doing that all along, but I just didn't know it.

Busy, busy! :) Are those flax seeds? I have a friend that was wondering about those "shoes" a little bit ago. What is your assessment of them? I'm excited to move closer to you!!!

Hey, I'm reading Born to Run right now. It's sitting in the bathroom as I type this (don't judge, I'm a multi-tasker).

Zach has some Five Fingers too. His are bright orange. Sexy. They have totally cured him of some of his running ailments. However, he did just get a stress fracture...hmm.

You've been eating dirt? (thats what the pic looks like)
I have never ever seen shoes like those before. Please tell me that you don't wear them in public. If so, I am kidnapping you and taking you shopping for some real shoes :)
On another note...How much longer until Jim gets home?

I definitely don't wear those in public per se. Just on the trails. But don't forget, I live in Colorado where people wear gear as clothes.
3 Months till Jim gets home! oh, and it's not dirt, but Chia seeds.

Hopefully the next 3 months will fly by!
Chia seeds? I will have to google search those, I have never heard of them. I could use more energy!
I am glad to hear that you don't wear those shoes out in public. I have never seen those either. I guess Ohio isn't really an outdoorsy type of place. They are a bit strange looking, but probably comfy!
