–adjective
1. firmly resolved or determined; set in purpose or opinion.
2. characterized by firmness and determination, as the temper, spirit, actions, etc.

Firm or determined; unwavering.

After gaining at least 7 lbs over the holidays, my will and resolve are at a low point. I must add though, that I do not regret one morsel of food that I ate. That being said, while driving in the car with the waistline of my jeans literally causing pain, I got to thinking about my past resolutions, and how they were never achieved. I wondered about the definition of resolutions, and I thought the definition of resolute meant unbending, no question it will be done. So I came home and looked it up. I was right. So how do I get into that mindset with my resolutions? Just the definition alone gives me a little buzz in the right direction. Therefore, If resolute means: firmly resolved or determined; set in purpose or opinion.
2. characterized by firmness and determination, as the temper, spirit, actions, etc.
Then by-golly it is going to happen. So, I will publicly list my self-improvement list: obviously this is the abridged version, the full version could take all day to write. Take into account that I am setting myself up for sucess, we'll keep it down to a dull roar.
Dear Self,
These are the things you will fix this year...

1. Fix my posture. Whenever I see my profile in a window or mirror, I realize that I closely resemble Quasimodo. I am tall. Get over it. Embrace it.. Spare your poor back from the suffering.

2. Lose weight.. yes I know a repeat every year from the year after Kimrie was born. I will lose 15 lbs, and add muscle. I am old enough now, that I do fear osteoperosis. I may have some serious crow's feet, but this could be a great year for my butt.

3. This will be hard to type... Stop the diet coke. There is no need to start embalming yourself now, wait until you are dead. The formaldahyde in the sweet nectar called diet coke is not doing you any favors.

4. Study the scriptures with confidence, I do not have a mind like a steel trap, it's more like a fisherman's net with quite a few holes for information to slip through. So I will read scriptures with the intent of remembering what I've learned.

5. Keep a positive attitude, I do have the potential, I do have Price blood in my veins.

So here are my goals for the year, and I do display them publicly so that I can be held accountable. Please ask me how I'm doing so I can be shamed into continuing.

Best of luck to all of you on your goals, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Good luck with your resolutions. I was seeing a lot of similarities in the resolutions I have made, but I can't seem to write mine down, it seems so final! I hope things are going well! Miss you!
